One brand, one creator
HIS STORY
In 1988, Vannina decided to join the Esmod school. Her final-year project won over both the professional jury of ready-to-wear and the lingerie jury. A project that was a precursor to her Dessous-Dessus concept. A meeting with a buyer from Takashimaya – a legendary New York concept store – changed Vannina Vesperini's destiny, and she placed her first order from her based on a simple sketch.
In 1996, Vannina decided to take the plunge and found Maison Vannina Vesperini.
A bold bet since her collection based on small couture pleats met with real success, allowing her to be noticed by Bergdorf Goodman and Neimann Marcus. She thus began her rise throughout the world.
Seeking inspiration through a look, an attitude, an encounter… This is the credo of Vannina Vesperini who also and above all creates for the well-being of women.
HIS INSPIRATION
Vannina Vesperini draws her inspiration from life, women, cinema, and great designers. For her, a collection is above all a story to tell, it is questions and answers, but it is also materials and colors. Materials and colors speak to her and have their own meaning. The choice to wear this or that color is not random. And the material, silk, a living fiber, also tells a story, and exchanges with the skin treasures of sensations that inspire her a lot.
ITS CONCEPT, THE UNDER-TOP
"Le Dessous-Dessus, the art of displaying your lingerie, of transcending it.
A unique way of dressing that combines chic and sensuality,
elegance and refinement, style and femininity."
A bit of a rebel, Vannina Vesperini broke the codes during her adolescence and diverted the lingerie she created by wearing it as real daywear. Wearing a silk top on the border of lingerie over pants or a skirt with a pair of pumps, a look that she adopted without complex during her nights out! She thus imposed her own style, a style that went against the grain of her time. The immutable idea that lingerie is a real garment never left her. Thanks to her final year project at Esmod, she brought her concept to life on the border between lingerie and ready-to-wear. The success she encountered reinforced her idea: she subsequently decided to dress women in an elegant and modern way, the tops could be worn both above and below or the slips became evening dresses, thus giving birth to the Underneath-Above .
THE Underneath-Above is not just a concept, it is a philosophy. Its products confer a power of reincarnation into a heroine with irresistible charms.
HIS PASSION FOR COLORS
Passionate about colors, Vannina Vesperini regularly organizes “Silk Confidence” workshops based on the strength and meaning of colors.

THE ICONIC TOP
The Vannina Vesperini top is the symbol of the Dessous-Dessus concept. It can be worn with its boxer shorts underneath or over it with pants, a skirt under a jacket or a large V-neck sweater. It is the feminine and sensual touch on a silhouette. The top in stretch silk and lace naturally stands out as an iconic top thanks to its perfect proportions. It quickly becomes a best-seller thanks to its original color combinations. Its variation in 16 different silk and lace color combinations each season makes it a fashionable piece.
Thanks to the many press releases and its identifiable graphics, it is recognizable and gives ideas for looks to wear it easily on top. Many celebrities have adopted it like Julia Roberts who reveals the fine lace and the lace neckline of our iconic top under her printed dress or Eva Herzigova who wears it as a layering for a modern and sensual look.
